Alana Forrest
A forty-year law enforcement and security leader, strategist, policy and performance consultant, keynote speaker, and investigator.
Alana Forrest is a law enforcement veteran with the Palo Alto and Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Departments, specializing in tactical operations, collaborative leadership, community engagement, policy, and performance management. Since 2012, Ms. Forrest has led security-related specialty teams in the high-tech, entertainment, and financial industries, including high-profile events, film premieres, and award shows. Ms. Forrest was the Director of Safety and Security at Pixar Animation Studios, overseeing safety, physical security, and special events. As Director of Global Physical Security for North America at Oracle, Ms. Forrest provided expertise in corporate physical security strategies, training, organizational development, and supply chain risk assessments. As Director of Global Safety and Security at Intuit, Ms. Forrest led a global team specializing in the safety and security of over 17,000 employees. Ms. Forrest holds an MA in Education, a BS in Criminal Justice, and a Private Investigator’s License. She is a graduate of LAPD Leadership, the FBI National Academy, and the Senior Management Institute for Police at Boston University. Ms. Forrest has served in executive positions for three non-profit boards. She co-founded the California Women Leaders in Law Enforcement Symposium, which began as a local partnership and is now a leading international organization endorsed by multiple law enforcement associations. She currently serves as President of the Board of the Women Leaders in Law Enforcement Foundation.

Ms. Forrest has received the Champion of Peace Award for her work with Domestic Violence and the California POST Investigative Excellence Award for her oversight of a Los Gatos homicide case. She was also selected as a recipient of the YWCA Tribute to Women in Industry, an award that recognizes executive women who reflect the innovation, creativity, and excellence of Silicon Valley.
